Quieter than you expect

The objection people raise before they see a Somfy system is noise. In practice a modern Somfy motor is quiet enough to run in a bedroom at 5am without waking the person in it — which is exactly the use case that sells the system. The motor starts and stops gradually rather than snapping, which is also what protects the curtain heading over years of daily use.
